In addition to the Executive Committee, there are also five subcommittees that provide direction and oversight for programs and initiatives.
The Subcommittees are made up of Board Members who volunteer to serve. The only stipulation to participate in a specific subcommittee is the interested board member must be qualified to participate, either through their work experience or educational background.

The Faculty Developement Committee works with HSHPS in identifying ways to recruit, train, and promote Hispanic faculty, researcher and key administrators in research institutions and universities in the United States.

The Health Policy Advocacy committee keeps abreast of current health policy legislation. This committee also coordinates between HSHPS member schools and other health organizations to educate legislators on health issues that make an impact on the laws passed.

The Fundraising committee identifies and fosters relationships with organizations and corporations that would be interested in assisting HSHPS financially. This committee works with HSHPS staff to create fundraising activities and events to raise funds for the organization.

The Education committee oversees the development of new programs and initiative within HSHPS that are accurate to HSHPS' mission, and promotes Health Profession Schools’ curriculums, research, and clinical experience through these new programs.
