This year’s seminar is a 2-day program designed to provide junior faculty and doctoral students at HSHPS member institutions with a number of tools to aid them in their professional development such as strategies for effectively managing the job search process, identifying teaching techniques and practices, preparing a successful grant application, publishing articles, identifying components to attain tenure and recognizing competing priorities, identifying research projects and avenues to apply for projects with the CDC and HSHPS, and understanding and identifying strategies for providing and implementing culturally-competent health education.
We will be providing continuing education credits for the 2006 HSHPS Professional Development Seminar.
Interested students and junior faculty are encouraged to apply for a HSHPS Conference Award. The purpose of the award is to provide partial support to select candidates to assist with the cost of attending the seminar.
