Hispanic Demographics and Statistics

HSHPS understands that one of the most important things about being a member in the health professions community is educating the public at large about the challenges that we face medically and the research we do to tackle those health obstacles. One of the best ways of doing this is to publish research and discoveries to medical and scientific periodicals. This section lists medical and scientific journals, as well as the names of publishing companies, in the United States and abroad with all of the information you will need to submit your research and articles. HSHPS also has its own publications, the HSHPS Newsflash and the HSHPS Newsletter. The Newsflash is a bi-weekly e-mail newsletter with updates on HSHPS activities, opportunities, and industry news. The Newsletter is a semi-annual, thematic publication, distributed in print and digital format, which includes HSHPS member updates, research projects, programs and activities.

To submit short items, such as job opening and other opportunities, to the Newsletter, please email us at hshps@hshps.org.

If you would like to submit articles for the HSHPS Newsletter, please follow these guidelines:

• Please submit your article in Microsoft Word format, Arial font, font size 10.
• If you would like to submit photos or graphics to accompany your article, submit them as separate attachments in the same email. Please be sure that the pictures and/ or graphics are saved to 300 dpi resolution (standard commercial printing resolution)
• Powerpoint presentations are welcome, however they will be edited and not all slides will be used.
• Articles with graphics and photos embedded with the article text will not be considered.
