  • 52% of Hispanics nationwide would give their Pubic School system a grade of “A” or “B” and 38% give their public school system a grade of “D” of “F”

  • 59% of Hispanic parents report that they help their children with their homework everyday

  • 42% of Hispanic parents say that they meet with their child’s teacher once a month

  • Some of the primary reasons for poor performance from Latino students in school are:

  • Quick behavioral or learning disability labels placed on the students (51%)

  • Weaker English skills than non-Latino students (47%)

  • Racial stereotypes resulting in lower expectations from Latino students (43%)

  • 95% of Latino parents say it is imperative that their child goes to college
