C-SPAN Meeting on Health Care Disparities
Commissioners and witnesses examined persistent gaps between the health status of minorities and non-minorities in the United States, focusing on cardiovascular disease and the related condition of hypertension since racial and ethnic minorities continue to have more disease, disability, and premature death than non-minorities. They talked about ongoing research, health care delivery systems, access to and quality of care, community education, patient behavior, and other aspects of health differences between population groups (VIEW VIDEO).
