    The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a qualified Junior Specialists focusing on tDCS-induced changes in the frontal-limbic network during cognitive control of emotion in recent-onset schizophrenia under the supervision of Dr. Laura Tully, Ph.D.


    RECRUITMENT DESCRIPTION
    The incumbent for this position will be part of an interdisciplinary set of studies examining the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive control of emotion and response to social stress in healthy individuals and individuals experiencing psychotic illness. The incumbent’s primary role will be the study coordinator for a new study using fMRI to examine the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on neural mechanisms of cognitive control of emotion during negative social evaluation in individuals aged 16 – 30 with psychotic illness. Successful candidates will also assist with additional neuroimaging and behavioral studies, and will be involved in all aspects of publishable research activities in the PEP lab, inclusive of literature review, study design and implementation, data analysis and presentation, manuscript preparation, and conference submissions.

    The Department of Neurology, at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is seeking a cerebrovascular neurologist for a full time faculty position. The position is available in either the Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical X series at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.


    UC Davis Medical Center is an advanced primary stroke center primed to become a comprehensive stroke center within the next year. There exists a neurology residency program, neurocritical care ICU, 24 hours/7 day coverage for neuro-endovascular procedures, neurovascular neurosurgery, RN stroke coordinator, and a well-established telestroke/ teleneurology network.


    As a Level 1 Trauma Center UCDHS has the largest catchment area of the academic medical centers in California. UC Davis Medical Center and the Neurology and Neurosurgery department is nationally recognized for quality of patient care and provides clinical, academic, and research leadership in the region. There are highly active well-funded research programs and clinical trials in the cerebrovascular field in place.

    The Department of Pediatrics, University of California, Davis and the UC Davis Children’s Hospital is seeking two full-time academic neonatologists. The UC Davis Children’s Hospital has a Level IV 49- bed Neonatal Unit with an ACGME accredited fellowship program in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.The Children’s Hospital provides a full complement of pediatric sub-specialty care including pediatric and cardiovascular surgery, as well as ECMO. Also the UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) is a major biomedical research facility with general and NIH funded programs.


    The positions are open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Clinical Pediatrics or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Basic qualifications include a M.D. or D.O., Fellowship in Neonatology, board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine, and eligibility for a California Medical License. Proven excellence in clinical care, education, and administrative experience is required.     The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting an academic pediatric infectious diseases faculty member. This appointment may be made between 80% and 100% (full time).


    The position is open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Clinical Pediatrics or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. The candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on certain departmental committees. The candidates will be expected to do clinical service at participating regional hospitals. We expect that this position will be an active participant in antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention programs.

The ideal candidate will be an established investigator able to analyze data sources and form teams to investigate new approaches to advance precision medicine at population scales, to address health disparities in well-defined populations, and able to apply these approaches through digital and system interventions. Candidates will have deep expertise in one or more disciplines such as oncology or mental health, and experience utilizing molecular, genomic, cellular, clinical, behavioral, physiological, and/or environmental data. Teaching and mentoring in these areas as applied to population precision health will be required.

    The University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for two Health Sciences Assistant/Associate Clinical Professors to serve as teaching attending physicians in its Adult Outpatient Clinic with a culturally diverse patient population. The applicant(s) will also be supervising general psychiatry residents with their adult cases, and both general and combined residents in IM/Psych FM/Psych. Time is allocated for didactic teaching, case conferences, and supervision. In addition, the applicant(s) will engage in scholarly or creative activities derived from and in support of their clinical teaching, professional and service activities.
