Development of the academic and professional skills of faculty has increasingly become a critical component of health professions education. As the demands on faculty continue to expand with the need for competent and well trained health professions graduates, it is now recognized that preparing and aiding health professions faculty for their teaching responsibility is a necessary function of academic institutions. HSHPS recognizes the critical role played by health professions faculty, and works diligently to extend both junior and senior faculty development opportunities and resources.
HSHPS is always working on ways to expand both junior and senior faculty development initiatives. HSHPS currently provides faculty with training opportunities, such as faculty development workshops.
