With the commitment to reduce health disparities among Hispanics, each fellow works diligently in a specific area of Hispanic health. The following is a sample of current and previous projects:

• Develop a valid and reliable metric tool that will be used to assess characteristics of the immigrant experience and social environment that may impact self-efficacy using questions from validated scales

• Systematically assess the quality of care received by Latino patients with diabetes

• Evaluate the impact of fatalismo on colon cancer screening rates in Latin men and women

• Investigate the enrollment rate of Latino children in the Healthy Families Program
