Details: For clinical trials to reach all populations, we must include individuals from all backgrounds, racial/ethnic groups, ages and communities. Yet, many populations remain underrepresented in clinical trials. To address this problem, The EDICT (Eliminating Disparities in Clinical Trials) Project was launched in 2005 to develop practical policy solutions to disparities in participation in clinical trials. For the last eight months, the EDICT Project has traveled to seven cities and listened to the voices of many of these "underrepresented populations" as they shared their concerns and their recommendations to possible solutions in addressing these disparities. Hosts require names of attendees to prepare name tags and advise their security team. Please RSVP Gretchen at gribble@bcm.tmc.edu. Remember to bring a photo ID with you to validate your entrance.
