HSHPS U.S.-Mexico Research Symposium (Part one)
November 10, 2001 – November 11, 2001

The first HSHPS Research Symposium was held in collaboration with the Office of Minority Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Participants had the opportunity to learn about Federal and academic-based research on Hispanic health services, and trends for developing Hispanic health services. Participants also gained successful grant writing skills, mentorship with a senior Hispanic faculty member, and a directory of research opportunities; including training programs, key contacts, and data sets from the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research and other Federal agencies.
